Go Green

Choose Green...in the world of Green remodeling, few projects are more important, and have greater impact than installing and improving insulation. There is a huge reduction in energy costs that can be directly influenced by proper insulation.

You can maximize your benefits by:

Perform an Energy Audit

A specialist will come to your home to perform a number of tests that will identify your home's present insulation efficiency. These tests will tell you where heat is escaping your home. Using infrared photos, a specialist can identify areas where measures can be taken to improve the overall energy efficiency of your home.

The higher the R-Value, the better

Insulation is measured in R-Values- the higher the R-Value, the better your walls and roofs will resist the loss or transfer of heat. Whole House Insulation, Inc. will test the R-Value of your home on an initial meeting by checking the insulation in your attic, ceilings, exterior and basement walls, floors, and crawl spaces.

Don't forget the Attic

Insulation within your walls is important, but attics, crawlspaces, and other forgotten areas can be a huge source of heat loss.

Caulk, Seal, and Weather Strip

It takes only one drafty window or door to negate all the energy saving potential that your new insulation provides. Be sure to caulk, weather strip, and seal any and all areas where heat loss is occurring in your home.

Cellulose Insulation

There are several benefits for homeowners who use cellulose fiber insulation. This insulation is made from recycled wood fiber, primarily newspaper. It is specifically treated and processed to make it light and fluffy. the natural characteristics of organic cellulose trap air within and between the fibers, providing superior insulating qualities. The wall is solidly packed. Insulation increases the resale value of their home, makes their homes more comfortable and lowers their energy cost. With cellulose insulation these savings quickly pay for the cost of insulating. Ask us about cellulose insulation for more information.
